Fisherrow Beach Clean

On Friday afternoon my team and I joined the Seabird Centre and other volunteers to clean up Fisherrow Beach in Musselburgh. The Seabird Centre organise such events across Edinburgh and East Lothian, bringing fantastic people from the community to make a real difference and clean up our beaches.

However, it is disappointing that such initiatives are required. We found multiple wet wipes, small pieces of plastic, cans and bottles. Wet wipes present on the beach is a clear sign sewage is makings its way into our waters. This is unacceptable, and I will continue to call this out in Parliament.
